Five years of networking and exchanges
between KAMS(PAMS) and TPAM
Korea Arts Management Service, the organizer of Performing Arts Market in Seoul(PAMS), and the Tokyo Performing Arts Market(TPAM) have been in mutual partnership since 2006, through booth/showcase exchanges*, presenters exchanges and professional meetings.
PAMS and TPAM have been the platform for distribution of performing arts productions. To cite a few examples, Performance Group TUIDA's is to be staged at Bird Theatre Festival (Tottori, Japan) in September 2010. Meanwhile, Tomokawa Kazuki showcased at TPAM 2009, was staged at LIG Art Hall (Seoul) during its fall season. Also, BABY-Q's and Nan Jombang Dance Company's which were presented at TPAM 2010, were invited to the 16th ChangMu Int'l Dance Festival in Uijeongbu 2010.
We can also observe that PAMS and TPAM be the chances of exchange and collaboration. Tae-Sook HAN (the playwright and director of Theatre Moollee) was invited after her participation in TPAM 2008, to engage as a playwright in the 「Too Tough To Die - Ghost Story of Yotsuya (死んでみたら死ぬのもなかなか四谷怪談-恨-)」of Theatrical Group EN (Japan) which is to be staged at Setagaya Public Theater in August 2010.
As TPAM looking for bringing changes for the upcoming year, we expect that vibrant exchanges between the countries are to be produced to stimulate creative collaborations.
