Performing Arts Market in Seoul (PAMS) 2011
LIP-Call for Proposals

Short for ‘Looking for International Partners’, LIP consists of pitch session and showcases to find out collaboration and co-production partners during the PAMS. Applicants present their ideas or production plans on various stages (creating, developing, and distributing), and partners (actors, choreographers, co-producers, presenters, etc.) apply for projects which they are interested in to work together.

LIP is a great way not only to discover well-suited partners, but also to witness the gradual development of a production. Eventually, it leads to understand how ‘Creative Cooperation’ is achieved in joint global projects. We encourage anyone who is interested in the dynamics of international collaborations and looking for a partner who wants to join a global production.

LIP Outline

l  Purpose

-          To connect partners for international collaboration and co-productions that will unleash the creativity of local and foreign artists, strengthen competence, and develop exceptional works.

l  Object of Application

Pitch Session	About 10 international collaboration and co-production projects of theatre, dance, music, or multiple disciplines
Showcase	1-2 international collaboration and co-production projects(work-in-progress or finished) of theatre, dance, music, or multiple disciplines

l  Management

Pitch Session	Free-form presentations are limited to 10 minutes including the time for set up. AV equipment and simultaneous English-Korean interpretation will be provided. Individual or booth registration for participation in advance is required. - Date and Time: Friday October 14, 2011 (13:00-15:30) - Venue: National Theater of Company Korea
Showcase	International collaborative showcases consisting of work-in-progress or finished works. Venue, technical support and registration exemption will be provided. Applicants should cover all other expenses related to travel, production for showcase, etc. - Date and Time: Friday October 14, 2011 - Venue: National Theater of Company Korea or National Theater of Korea

l  Potential Candidates

Pitch Session	- Projects with innovative and promising contents - Projects with solid cooperation among existing partners - Projects that have never been introduced to any other performance arts entity
Showcase	- Projects with innovative and promising contents - Projects with solid cooperation among existing partners - Projects among Asian partners ※ Extra points will be added for projects which were introduced in 2009, 2010

* These are primary considerations for the targeted 10 projects, but projects that do not meet preferences can still be submitted for consideration.

l  Benefits provided to selected projects

- Opportunity to present your project to both Korean and international PAMS delegates

- Eligibility to apply for free studio/rehearsal space for work creation

- Information and consulting for international partners provided

- Eligibility to apply for LIP showcase in the following year
